.338 Edge load data

The best group I got is with 94gr Retumbo cci mag primer and a 300gr sierra group is1/2 inch at 200 yards 3 shots. H1000 was good too with 93 gr.Hope this helps

Yeah I'm a big fan of H1000 but if retumbo works it is cheaper. I have been waiting for Berger to come out with their .338 line but now they say it won't be till this fall and I don't think i can wait that long. What length is your barrel?

338 Edge data is difficult to find. Some data in the following links:

http://www.defensiveedge.net/338 edge/338-edge-load.htm
http://www.reloadersnest.com/frontpage.asp?CaliberID=548

I'm currently working out a load with Nosler Accubond 250grs (I don't trust the 300grs SMK on heavy game). I've done a ladder and OCW tests which show apparently stable loads around 95grs (2872 fps) and 101.8 grs (3065 fps) of H-1000 in a 28" barrel.

Interestingly, when I enter my custom data into Quickload, I get results that are incredibly close to my chronographed velocities. That helps a lot with the estimation of pressure.
