I have a question for everyoone...
I have a very good friend that has extencive knowlege in guns and he is starting to get into scopes.
About 4 months ago I decided I wanted to swich scopes and he was the go to guy for me because he had alot of them and he was always asking a good price. So he told me that the scope that I was getting was a older Euro Diamond but when it was made 10 years ago they did not have markings.
Because he was a friend i didn't think twice about it. But went the Glass was not right... chitty glass... i started to dig deeper.
By the time I figured out that the scope that I traded for was a POS and worth less then 1/2 what my old scope was worth and the glass on this was brutal comparitive to what I had... he sold it to a life long friend for cheep.
My delema is that I am going back to school, I can't afford to get the same quality of optics and he is telling me to sell the scope for more then it is worth so I can get the VXIII i want.
He gave me a knife in the trade too after I confronted him about it and he said he would make it right.
So hunting season is coming up, I do not have relyable optics and he keeps on telling me that "don't worry it will sell"
I am in the same office as this guy and he has always helped me out with Loading, we go up to the range all the time, he will clean my guns when I don't have time, and load ammo...
The issue is that he did not know that the scope was the chitty quality it actually is. A member on the EE did the same thing to him and he unknowing the false facts, regurgitated the info to me.
What should I do?
PS - I am 23, he is 59 and been collecting guns for 40+ years.
