Century Arms CETME .308

OK, I looked at the regs and can't figure if this is considered a knockoff off the H&K and thus prohibited. Anyone know if it is prohib? I'd import one in a second as they'd be cheap as sh*t!!!!

The CETME is a G3 variant. Which is kind of funny, as the CETME predated the G3.

Pretty sure its a G3 variant and prohibited but I am not 100% on that.

Reading this in wikipedia it seems pretty definitive though.

That's what I thought. It's technically not a variant, and there's a semi auto version (or it was listed as such).

This is the type of rifle I've wanted for a long time, but I can't justify that 3G's for the Swiss Arms.

Maybe if I save for 3 years. lol

The CETME is listed as prohibited, not as a variant of anything else.

Yes, it is a named prohib, but not a variant of the HK, The HK could be described as a variant of the CETME, because the boys from the old country went to Spain first.
