Sig rosewood grips

Not sure how the Hogue grips for the 226 would be but I have a set of Hogue rosewood grips for my 220. They are very fat/wide/thick when compared to the stock Sig plastic grips and Hogue's shipping charges are quite high but you'll get your grips shipped in a box and not a bubble envelope. For me, the rosewood grips are very nice grips and was worth it. Just want to give you a 'heads up' about their thickness and shipping costs........YMMV

Check e-bay I see them for sale there all the time. I have a set on my 229 Elite and they are quite a bit bigger than the plastic grips but they sure are pretty.

How do they compare to the Hogue rubber grips? I have the Hogue rubber ones (not the wrap around model) on my NP-29 and wouldn't mind the same thing in wood.

Mark

I had a 9mm 220 with the Hogue finger grooved rubber grips. They were noticeably thinner/slimmer than the rosewood grips on my .45 220.

The rosewood grips are much "fatter" than the Hogue rubber grips. If I plan to do a lot of shooting with the Elite I take off the wood and put on a pair of the rubber Hogues.

Check out Marschal Grips from Hungary.

They have a variety of woods and finishes available.

I didn't see 226 on the price list, but you may want to send him an email. You may be able to save some $$ as his prices are very reasonable.
