Hammer Guns

I always thought that hammer guns were all at least a 100 years old, but looks like new hammer guns are being made.

The prices are very high, around $14K.

I have to admit that hammer gun have a character of their own.

Yes they are still being made. Companies like NEF and Rossi produce them in single shots. Stoeger and other companies make a coach gun with external hammers and they are very reasonably priced. ($5-$600) They are out there, you just have to look around.

You can buy new hammer guns from many European companies, Fausti Stefano, Ugartechea, Pedersoli and many other companies.

A few still prefer hammer guns for Live Pigeon shoots.

The $5 shotguns I keep for myself, fix up and sell for a couple hundred. Along with the $10 .22's and the $50 hunting rifles, that have been abused beyond belief and just need some TLC

Norinco: popular with cowboy action. SXS and the 1897 trench gun. Also NEF (New England Firearms) makes a low cost single shot external hammer shotgun.
