Dust off that battle rifle and dig out that old crate of surplus ammo!
on Saturday August 22nd the Calgary Service Rifle Association is hosting a battle rifle match at the Homestead ranges west of Calgary.
Start time will be 9:00am
Round count will be 90 rounds for the match plus sighters.
Rifles allowed will be any rifle, iron sights. (preferably a battle rifle)
Shooting will be off the elbows, and slings are encouraged!
Matches will be as follows:
Time alloted for sighters at the 100m, 200m, & 300m points for all shooters.
Match #1: 100m Standing Deliberate
Match #2: 100m Standing Snaps
Match #3: 100m Standing snap on a figure 12 mover
Match #4: 200m Sitting/Kneeling Deliberate
Match #5: 200m Sitting/Kneeling Snaps
Match #6: 200m Sitting/Kneeling snap on a figure 11 mover
Match #7: 300m Prone Deliberate
Match#8: 300m Prone Snaps
Match #9: 300m Prone Snaps on a figure 11 mover
The mail out to members (as with the provincials) again failed miserably.
