Shooting Chrony: F-1, Alpha or Beta?

Which ever one I go for it will be the master model with the portable readout. Just not sure which one. Who owns what and how do you like it?

I have the Gama master (Top model)

I have a Beta Master but to be honest, I don't use any of the features. I just shoot over the sensor and look at the number.

F-1 is all you need. I use one for a couple of years now, never felt I missed something.

I too have the Master Beta all though I just read the number's it's nice to have the read out on the bench beside me. I LIKE IT!

Beta with printer. The printer acts as remote and you scribble notes on print out.

What's involved in adding a printer on to one of these? Is is just a device you buy at the gun store as well?

Not sure if any site sponsors sell them. Phoned their order number and it came from their Canadian address. It just plugs into the jack on the side of the chrony.

I never put any thought into my numbers at the range. I often don't even look at them. I like to go through the numbers at home, with log book and pencil in hand. I record the average and extreme spread numbers beside the load entry. Having the machine calculate the stats makes it easier. But you need the memory to make it even possible.

I run the Gamma. The Beta would also do anything I have ever done with it.

I bought the F1 Master about a month ago. Just called them direct, payed mastercard, and about a week later it showed up.

Seems to work well, I have got a few erratic reading from it that Im told are likly due to it being abit close to the gun and/or perhaps to much light and I need to put the deffusers on. Havnt been out to the range much to sort it out, but overall very happy with it!

Bought the cheapy one probably fifteen to twenty years ago for around 80 bucks I think then. Card board screens been shot up some but still working fine - never any problems.

That's what I do. The numbers at the range are important to me. They may tell me that I've reached max and not to shoot the next higher loads. Don't really want to wait at home to find out that I should have stopped shooting 2 grains ago!
