I am looking to buy a nz75 but have not seen reviews or comments or anything on CGN, even after intensive searching. Does anyone have feedback on it? Is it solid? reliable? accurate?

I have a Np22 (norinco sig) right now, how does it compare?

I had one. It was 100% reliable. The fit and finish was fine. Clearly cheaper in finish than a real CZ, it was a decent shooter.

I will suggest u to go for NZ-85B.i have one.and is very accurate, reliable and durable.all forged steel construction with chrome lined barrel.

I was looking at the nz85 but the only supplier that has them is out, marstar, so i thought id settle for the 75.

There is a market for Norinco CZ grips.

You read my mind, thats what i am planning to do.

Well, I would go for the NZ75... Marstar stands behind their stuff. I bought a POS (piece of $hit) Norc from them once. It was really awful. They took it back without question, as a matter of fact, they insisted that I return it.

I had 6 Norcs at one point, am now down to 5 but would buy another one, no hesitation.

If you compare the pictures on the Marstar website between the 75 and the 85, the 75 does not have a safety on the frame. The safety is a device on the slide that drops the hammer safely on a round. In other words, you cannot #### and lock like the 1911 and must go double action first shot. The Beretta 92 and a number of S&Ws have this. I am not sure, but by the looks of it, the NZ-75 is that type.

Thanks for the explanation, sigs are like that as well, my np22 doesnt have a safety but has the hammer drop, i just didnt know the name of the mechanism.

Is it solid? reliable? accurate?

I have one. Yes, to all three questions. It has a decocker rather than a safety. This drops the hammer safely on the round in the chamber. If you engage it, your first shot is therefore double action. I regard this set up as an advantage, but others may disagree.

NZ vs CZ

Me, I'd spend the extra bucks and get the CZ... ;)

Marstar's description of the 75 seems to support that as well.

Just to clarify. You don't NEED to drop the hammer and go for a double action first shot if you're just plinking. Unless you use the decocker to drop the hammer the first shot will be single action like the rest. And for most events like IPSC Production class or the IDPA, where you need to shoot the first shot in DA, this is a nice feature for safely lowing the hammer on a round in the chamber.

Given the relatively small price difference between the real deal and the Norc, this may be the one situation where I'd say get the real thing. Generally, I'm a big fan of Norcs but this example may be the exception that proves the rule - the real CZ is a screaming deal for what you get.

Well, the real thing is double the price. Not sure where you're getting your prices. But double is what I've seen.

However if you're saying it's not much in comparison to the cost of ammo that will be shot from it over the next few years then I have to totally agree with you. I think I shot my Shadow's cost in ammo within the first 3 months. But I didn't have any other guns at the time. Still that $300 to $350 seems pretty small potatoes in light of the ammo cost if you'll be a regular shooter.

What kind of problems did you have with the CZ, if I may ask?

The problem was with accuracy, where CZs normally excel. I have no idea how old the gun was when I bought it -- it looked to be in as-new condition -- but it was shot out. The Norc clone is crude and clunky -- it will not fit a CZ holster -- but it will outlast the universe.
