Well if the original poster feels its OK to shoot a game animal out of season (Rabbit) because he says it is a pest eating his plants & ruining his garden . I guess its OK to shoot the deer that come on my property eat my flowers & #### all over my lawn

josh1976 - Some things are best left unsaid. Many animal groups, stuff like this fuels there fires against us.Being hunters, we have a hard enough time with people thinking negitive towards us. Next time if you and your friend had a good time maybe it should have been kept as a personal thing between the two of you's.

1st of all, rather than flaming me, understand that I have alot of acreage, all surrounded by my good friends acreage. He owns an apple orchard, and my wife and I have garden which stocks our freezer year round
Naturally, there are rabbits attracted to the area. We've learned to curse them as they eat the apple tree saplings down to nothing, and ruin a garden over-night.....LITERALLY
As for those who ASSUME we just shoot for fun.....your right, it is fun, and it is also acceptable practice in our area. This is just the FIRST time either of us tried a pellet gun, and I thought it would be an interesting thread. The immaturaty level of some of the guys on here (or their interest only in flaming) taught me other-wise.
As for eating, no. I did not eat this one. The Red-bone Hound (chevy) did. Even the bones if that matters. However, our freezer IS full of my wife and Granmothers rabbit pies. (also made with partrige).

If people are scared of some friggn tree hugger, whom couldn't feed his own family if not for Walmart, then we're already f**ked. I'm not out patitioning for open and concealed carry which would scare the s**t out of a majority of the public.....and PAY attention...this site is conjested with such forums and soliciting. I shot a f**king rabbit, and my dog ate it.........I shot another one last night eating my beans, so suck it up. Did anyone read this entire thread, and pay attention to the clowns admittedly murdering cats?? for no other reason than its a cat???????? Shut the f**k up, unless you know what you're talking about. Self rightious, liberal fearing, walmart shopping zombies. Most of which whom would die if the power were out for for than 3-days in the winter.....weak weak weak. Almost funny. We will need a licence to swat mosquitos soon. I would think that if CGN were that opposed to my type of comments....they would be concidering changing the Forum name to "New Canadian Firearm Sports Enthusiasts"......rather than Candian "GUN NUTZ" This title gives tree huggers more to oppose than me shooting a rabbit.

Second, to all the people stating shooting something just for the sake of killing it... how many people in this thread take place in Gopher shoots? Isn't that killing just for the sake of killing? Oh you call it pest control? So what is the difference than shooting squirrels for pest control (which I used to have to do every two years due to the little bastards tearing up the saddles in the barn, .22LR for that job) or a rabbit that is in someone's garden? Yeah yeah it all depends on where the animals are located at the time.
