You have to be in the conversation to be aware of what is going on,the rabbit killer posted my post first,I changed it to deer to point out how stupid he sounded.Read from start to finish and then make your post.
I couldn't understand why you would admit to poaching. Fatigue on my part I guess.... If you have deer coming onto your property eating your garden, get some natives to come and shoot them.
The OP posted a dipshlit post then once he realized he was not getting any support he tried to delete it but he had been quoted so people could still see what he had posted. Didn't like it when it was pointed out how stupid he sounded I guess. I think I touched a nerve.![]()
No Balls???? I changed my original post to "forget it", because it had nothing but negative responses. I new the "big mouth" would be back
1st of all, rather than flaming me, understand that I have alot of acreage, all surrounded by my good friends acreage. He owns an apple orchard, and my wife and I have garden which stocks our freezer year round
Naturally, there are rabbits attracted to the area. We've learned to curse them as they eat the apple tree saplings down to nothing, and ruin a garden over-night.....LITERALLY
As for those who ASSUME we just shoot for fun.....your right, it is fun, and it is also acceptable practice in our area. This is just the FIRST time either of us tried a pellet gun, and I thought it would be an interesting thread. The immaturaty level of some of the guys on here (or their interest only in flaming) taught me other-wise.
As for eating, no. I did not eat this one. The Red-bone Hound (chevy) did. Even the bones if that matters. However, our freezer IS full of my wife and Granmothers rabbit pies. (also made with partrige).
juanvaldez......you will never get it, so....as I changed my OP...."forget it"
Did my post come across the wrong way to some? Maybe....but as they say...dont lay judgement unless you know what the f**k youre talking about.
Also, my favorite motto is: "never argue with an idiot (you), they will just suck you down to their level, then beat you with experience"
Again....I have "no balls"? WOW.... you are a big mouth punk. Just what I thought. So, "forget it"
Ban me if need be... I shot a f**king rabbit, and my dog ate it.........I shot another one last night eating my beans, so suck it up. Did anyone read this entire thread, and pay attention to the clowns admittedly murdering cats?? for no other reason than its a cat???????? Shut the f**k up, unless you know what you're talking about. Self rightious, liberal fearing, walmart shopping zombies. Most of which whom would die if the power were out for for than 3-days in the winter.....weak weak weak. Almost funny.
The neighbors cat that keeps crappin at the end of my driveway might get a pellet soon enough though.
Did you even read the thread?I have a 1947 Red Ryder BBgun for that sort of thing. I don't really want to perforate "kitty", just send it home. KD
Time to sit on the fence and play both sides.....
Ok Im just going to say, that shooting a wild rabbit out of season would be poaching, and if you do shoot a rabbit, then I hope you ate the damn thing at least.
Now that being said, the OP stated they were HIS rabbits. So it wouldn't be poaching if it was a domesticated rabbit.
Second, to all the people stating shooting something just for the sake of killing it... how many people in this thread take place in Gopher shoots? Isn't that killing just for the sake of killing? Oh you call it pest control? So what is the difference than shooting squirrels for pest control (which I used to have to do every two years due to the little bastards tearing up the saddles in the barn, .22LR for that job) or a rabbit that is in someone's garden? Yeah yeah it all depends on where the animals are located at the time.
Now I DONT support shooting a rabbit with a pellet gun that is under 500fps. Squirrels and mice (yes I used to hunt mice in the house with a pellet gun and got every single one I aimed at) since you know that will kill them with that pellet.
Shhhhh! You're spoiling all the fun!
Wasn't many years ago ALL kids shot squirrels and rabbits with pellet guns. And sparrows. And just about any critter that ventured into the back yard.
But that was before "THE KOOL-ADE". My, we've drunk deeply.......
Yes those were the days,
anything but domestic animals and Grandmas songbirds were fair game. KD
....just so long as you never shoot a mockingbird![]()
