I can attest that my AIA SMLE no. 4 bought from Marstar last year is awesome. With the scope mounted (the one included in the price), groups are close to 1 MOA at 100m (i.e. 1 inch), perfectly aligned (following a small correction with the included front sight adjustment tool). With that fact known, I removed the scope to use in on another rifle and use this rifle to practice open sight. If I don't group close to one inch, I then know what the problem is: me. I shoot PMC ammo equivalent to M80 ball (146-grain FMJ loaded to 2756 fps).
Remember the thread last week about having to choose 3 rifles and run for the woods because the SHTF? First, I would not carry three rifles into the wood unless we were three people; second, my choice, over the 20ish rifles I own would be between this SMLE and a CZ-858 (in 7,62x39)... and I would leave the scope home. Cheers.
