If anyone knows where there is one in stock in Canada, let me know. I was hoping for the Field/security combo, but no luck. I then figured I'd try for the security, and add the 28" barrel come bird season. No joy. Then I went on the look for Just the 930 field synthetic, and figured I could order the short barrel later. All more expensive alternatives to my origional plan, to purchase the combo. Every place I have enquired, are sold out and backordered for months...yes months.

If anyone sees one out there, for a reasonable price, (a couple of places I will not name do not update stock or price increases) send me a kite. I am not interested in the SPX model. I have sent emails to dealers all over the country, and either recieved a "don't know when they will be in stock" reply, or no reply at all..odd way to run a buisness, but I guess they don't want my money.

I've been going through the same problems myself. I searched high and low all over for one to no avail. Cabelas Canada had 7 of the synthetic waterfowl models left in stock as of Monday...6 after I got off the phone with them. I wa slooking for the walnut stock one, but they've been on backorder since july of '08. I'd act fast. I read somewhere that Mossberg was backordered something like 150,000 guns due to the change in political situation south of the border.

Aside from that, I've shouldered this gun and it fits me nice. And from the tons of reviews I've read on shotgunworld.com, hardly anybody has issues with them. They have a self-regulating gas system (with no o-rings) that digests 2 3/4 7/8oz target loads, to 3" turkey and slug loads. The 935 (it's bigger brother) is designed for 3 and 3.5" loads (but not really for 2 3/4).

Lemme know if you end up getting one too.

yep. they don't have any. I looked for probably a week, at major stores and many many smaller local dealers. The 930 is an elusive creature...

Cabelas.ca has 6 in stock right now. Not much of a lead on the security barrel though.

The collective American mindset, has become disturbing to say the least. There seems to be a marked rise in overt racism and unfounded paranoia from the fringe right, which sadly is spreading, like wildfire towards the mainstream right. I surely hope they sort this out.

And of course, absolutly no joy with tracking down the matte 18.5 barrel. The Mossberg site says they are "available" , but I've learned the hard way, that "available" in gun dealer/manufacturer speak, does not neccesarily mean you can get your hands on one, at least not before a republican president takes a seat in the oval office.

Strange times...my job required me to carry guns for 25 years...now I'm retired, I can't buy one LOL! ...well, the one I want anyway

I voted conservative, and am still waiting for the great moment of enlightenment. I'm seeing lots of lip service, but no action...big suprise there eh?

Jean Cretien election promise quote; "Read my lips, no GST!"

Here is an interesting artice;
