how accurate is a AR at 200m or less/ AR or Bolt Action ?

Two Remingtons, one an R-25, one an R-15, both sub moa. Both under $1500.00 out of the box. The only money put in, besides scopes and mounts, extra mags etc. was a Timney trigger on the R-25.

I own a CQ5.56. I bought this rifle because I was on a budget.Paid 1000$ tx.+ship. included with extra picatinny quad rail.:)

How accurate is your CQ5.56 ?
do you if I could remplace the stock barrel and get a 24" varmint/target one
will it fit on Norinco ?
are these Target barrel available ?
how much do they go for ?

This could be a really nice option I think if the barrel sells for less then $400 it would still be cheaper then a Stag arms and I would have 2 different possible configurations on the same gun :D

Those R15 and R25 only come in weird Camo look right ?
Do they have big Beefy barrel of regular hunting ones.

my bushmaster varminter rifle with the 24" fluted barrel will shoot less than .5moa from a rest. With factory ammo, no mods. It has shot some groups less than 1" at 300yards. I dont expect to do any better than that with my reloads, but it will be fun trying.

Thats exactly the kind of accuraty I'm looking for
Do you have any picture of you gun actual setup ?

The beautiful part of the AR platform is the fact you don't need alot of extra gear or items to work 'just right' to make them shoot - float a really good barrel and feed it really good ammo; the rest is gravy. No need to spend $2000 on a completed upper. There is no need to blueprint, square, bed, shave or otherwise #### with it to make it shoot. Anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you swamp land....

I use to have a COLT HBAR, and stupid me, I sold it 5 years ago. Recently, I managed to find another one, unfired, Colt, HBAR and 1/9 twist rate (AR-15A3 Competition HBAR (Cat.#R-6731)). It's presently in the mail in this direction. Can't wait to hug it in my arms again! (Tears!) I don't intend to ever sell it and here is why:

My previous one (Colt Cat.#R-6600,1989) was punching close to 0,5 moa. That means within one inch at 200m, 5 shots consecutive (let's say at 5 sec. interval) no cooling pause. I used to make 60 - 100 round sessions at the club, to work my reloads, carefully noting results and velocity (with my chronograph), all this in 60 to 90 minutes. Never noticed that barrel heat-up was an issue. Shot 2000 rds approx with it: never had a misfire or failure to feed or eject. I once downed three skunks in 5 sec, from a little under 100yards. The watching neighbor couldn't believe it. She lately had had to stay inside every day between 16h00 and 18h00, as the mother and 2 cub skunks were crossing her property to go to the lake.

Yes the look is awesome: draws instant attention (and respect...). Terribly funny sound "dong-a-long" from the recoil spring in the stock (if your ear is close to it). No recoil.

I reload and still have my old recipes. I am now in more distant shooting with 308W (300 - 500m). You can bet I will be comparing with the newly acquired HBAR.

If you intend to hunt, this caliber is of course much weaker than .308W you'll be looking at a different spectrum of game.

I do bench rest and an AR-15 is just as fun, different, and very surprising. I could not believe a semi-auto could group like that when you realize how fast a round is slammed in battery. I have 20 plus rifles. If I had to grab one and run for the woods, it would be either the AR-15 or the CZ-858-2L (7,62x39, unrestricted and better suited to put a steak in your plate). But no where near as accurate of course. Enjoy!

All part of the CQ5.56 are interchangeable with Colt M4. Dont know about the rest, sorry.

I bought an AR-15 from P&D Enterprises

Bushmaster AR-15 Target (20" HBAR) for $1,550.00

SUPER accurate at 200 yards, it's a full-size M16 style rifle with full stock and A3 removable carry handle for mounting of optics.

Hands down the BEST .223Rem rifle you can buy. NIB Bushmaster AR-15
