Spare 1911 parts

I lost a random part when I disassembled my 1911 for the first time. Namely, the mainspring cap. Any tips on where I could find another?

I already sent an e-mail to Freedom Ventures, waiting for a reply.
 
They don't ship gun parts to Canada.

edit: Well, it says on their website that they don't, but I just called and I was told Colt's registered with the State Dept. so they should be able to ship it to me. Yay!

they do ship gun parts, oh boy did I buy lots of em.
 
You know "Murphy's Law" on this.... the day the new part shows up is the day you find the missing one...... :redface:

Haha, that wouldn't surprise me one bit. I know it's still around, it obviously hasn't vanished...

My only consolation is that it's just a $5.00 part.
