I have a shotgun receiver that I inherited. If I can't ID and find a barrel, it goes to the saw. Would be a waiste, me Dad got it in the 60's. I would like to keep it. Any help would be appreciated.

The only Only insignia is a MF on the recoil pad, the only marks are on the bottom by the magazine with the words "Action made in France" with a 5 digit serial number. The action release is a small round button right in the center behind the slide, just ahead of the trigger guard.

Anyone have any ideas?

I will work on posting photos.

Def. Manufrance...a french manufacturer of inexpensive firearms esp. during 70s, not sure of their current status. They manufactured a pump gun called a "Rapid" which doesn't fetch much now used.

ManuFrance? Amazing call, ben hunchak!

I think La Salle was another name for ManuFrance  :

The shotgun may have been a Marlin outsource?

This is the shotgun I just got. Mine clearly has Gevarm on the left side of the action. Is it possible that, as has been suggested, these are a copy of the 870? Mine seems well put together although showing signs of use. Traded for it thinking to use it in three-gun type matches, with some mods:)
