im firing my 1022 0@100 yards well i fired 60 rounds and i hit an area of7"x7" granted i was ajusting my scope too but my goal is 2"x2" but the more i adjusted the worst it got what am i doing wrong

At 60 yards the 10/22 will hit a 7x7 free standing with your eyes shut on iron sights. If you are adjusting your scope and it gets worse you may be moving the crosshairs to the bullet instead of the bullet impact to the crosshairs. If the shot is low and right then click the adjuster up and left baised on how much room it has to move. 7" at 1/4 click moa would be 28 clicks at 100 yards. Odviously if you do that and it gets worse yet you have to bring the crosshairs to the impact which would mean you click it down and right. If all that fails you have a problem with your scope mount and alignment.

Some plain jane 1022's shoot real well right out of the box at 100 yards. If its getting worse, you need to figure out what you are doing. Either that, or some new element of problem has crept in, like stock screw loose, barrel band loose, scope mounts loose. Give it all a thorough going over.

How does it shoot at 50 yards?

I've owned several 10/22's in different configurations...and I think asking a plain jane 10/22 to shoot 2" groups at 100 yards is a probably expecting a bit much. My target 10/22 with the 20" GM bull barrel shoots around that kind of a group...

ive never aimed at 50 yards i use this rifle for grouse and other such small game its y i want tight grouping

Even if you will use the rifle at 100 yards, I don't quite understand why you wouldn't first have it dead on at 50 yards before taking it out to 100? If you can't get it under 2" at 50, it's not going to happen at 100...and I personally think that at 50 it's easier to see if it's your equipment or you that's the problem.

10/22's are relatively crudely made and some have problems with the way the scope rails fit on top of the cast receiver.

If my groups are bigger than about 2.5" at 100 yards, it's because I'm pulling shots (which happens all the time with the trigger on my 10/22).

Try 50 yards until you get a 1" group. Then give 100 yards a try.

ok went to the range fired at 50 yards and well my grouping suck just like it did at 100 but i moved the target in to the 25 yard mark and adjusted the scope and well heres the pic of 50 rounds

now i just need to move the group to the right a lil bit and ill be happy 25 yards with a .22 for grouse hunting is a good range?

10/22 accuracy

You haven't mentioned that you've tried any different brands of bullets.
The accuracy you're getting is very poor for 25 yards from a 10/22, even for grouse, unless you're trying to scare them instead of hit them. At most, that group should be 2" in size.

If you haven't done it already, I suggest getting some different brands and test them out. If you have done the testing and this is the "best", then there is something wrong with your setup.
