I was at my local gun shop, and looked at many different types of guns for my waterfoul/turkey/deer hunting needs. I was very close to buying a Beretta 391 semi-auto, but ended up buying the Benelli Super Nova. I wanted a semi, but was too worried about running into issues while hunting with it, so I chose the pump action instead. Please tell me the Super Nova's are worth the money?!! I didn't find the gun very nice to look at, but I couldn't see myself banging that nice Beretta around in the bush!! I just wanted a gun that would be tough and go bang everytime I pulled the trigger. Tell me I did the right thing here!

I bought a Supernova for hunting last year, and think it is the best pump-action hunting shotgun for the money. I agree it isn't pretty to look at, but it functions flawlessly, and can really take the abuse of waterfowl hunting.
I used to use a Remmy 870 Express, which was also a very reliable shotgun, but the wood stock and cheap barrel finish couldn't stand up to the sal####er conditions I hunt ducks in. My friend calls his "old rusty" because the finish gets surface rust within hours if you dont clean and oil the exterior. I might wipe down and oil my Supernova every couple weeks or 3-4 hunts, and I have never had rust issues.
I also like the mag cut-off feature and the adjustable cast and drop on the stock. I think the comforttech stock helps as well with recoil. 3 1/2" goose loads still rattle the skull, but are a little more tolerable with the Benelli.

I have one also and it is a never fail gun AND it looks great!
As for a semi the benelli SBE or M2 was te way to go

I really wanted the M2, but I figured I would buy the pump, and a new crossbow, and I still saved over $200.00 to buy ammo. The M2 will have to wait another year.:bangHead::D

I've had my nova for 4 years now and never had a single problem its very durable no rust on it so far. I also like how you can disassemble it very quickly and easily for cleaning.

That is the main reason I went with the Super Nova, I hear they don't rust, and are easy to disassemble and clean....works for me!

I've heard a lot of good things about the Nova. I handled one at the fun shop a while back, very cool (very spac-ey looking, for the Supernova tacticals)

awesome price on them though.

I would buy one If I didn't already have the M4s90 :p
