The only mods I did to my Gen 3 were Trijicon sights and an M3 light when it sits in our bedroom closet safe.

And yes, after a couple of thousand rounds it started to shoot surprisingly well for a pistol with a grip that feels like a 2x4.

I upgraded the disconnector and mag release on mine, I've tried other parts as well, but I find these ones were all I need.

I also added skate tape which helps during long multi-gun/IDPA shoots on hot summer days.

I purchased mine with the glock night sights which I really like.

The parts are inexpensive for the most part, so buy a couple a figure out what combination you like, you might just go right back to stock after trying some, in which case, you have some spare parts in case of a failure.

And now, off to go do some shooting.

i did the lone wold 3.5, comp spring and 4lb firing spring...made the trigger pull much lighter and smoother, got the extended mag release and will be installing trijicon steel target sights for it

Cup holder! - every pistol (and especially Glocks) needs a cup holder! Or you can do what Sparrow said, it's very good advice and while it won't necessarily make your pistol look as good as a cup holder would, it will make your targets look cool.

I agree with the preceding posts.

Upgraded metal sights are the best idea.

Everything else should wait until you are certain that the Glock has weaknesses you want to fix.

Shoot a few hundred rounds until you are shooting your absolute best with it. Then decide what upgrades you really need.

But, as people say, the best upgrade is ammo and practise. Do your really need an extended mag release? Are you going into competition with it?

^^ They buy night sights to be able to aim at night if they ever need it in a self defence scenario.

Well I always thought of something...
If someone is breaking in your house, they have a gun and you clearley see that. Then you pull out your glock with night sights and hide. Couldn`t the night sights give away your position in this kind of situation?

I like Glocks

You sir, are clearly mistaken. The Glock was not the first pistol with a plastic frame, if you recall, H&K had a gun like that 20 years earlier. Plus the Glock lacks chamber support making it volatile to sharp blows and drops, exploding upon contact with a rigid surface. And the clips are pinned to 10-rounds anyway, negating the only benefit of the Glock.
