Hey Guys,

I took the Norc HP9 that I bought in new condition from another CGNer to the range tonight to test out.

I have read a lot of good and bad about the Norinco guns and I have to say that I was really happy with the 870 clone HP9 18" barrel. I put 30 rounds of #4 into cardboard boxes and it performed great. The pattern was on target at 25 yards, the gun was well balanced, easy to shoot and the mechanism was flawless.

I know that may not be a lot of rounds, but it seemed like a fair test for a beginner like myself. I was impressed with the gun overall. This is my first Norinco firearm and I'm happy with the resaults.

Off to CDN Tire in the morning for more shells LOL.

Just curious what others think of the Norc HP9?

I have the 14'' barrelled HP9 and it's a great little gun. She kicks pretty good but it will tight group 3 slugs at 30 yards. that's all I need it to do.

Marstar lists the 14" for 295 but have none in stock. I got mine for 300 shipped in new condition 4 test rounds fired from EE with the 18" barrel. Before I bought I talked to the guys at the local gunshop and the last batch of HP9s they brought in flew out the door and none came back for service.

Thats what sold me on the Norc shotgun.

I had\have issues with mine. The right latch popped out the first time I disassembled(happened with DA grizzly too), it rusts like a MFer if it's even slightly humid and not oiled and I had to bend the shell latch out to get it to feed properly. I still don't regret buying it. It's a beater and soon to be project and parts gun for me.

I had no problem installing the Knoxx.
