Alright boys and girls.

I know many of you have been loving these rifles so far. I know I have as two have gone and passed and I am now looking at repurchasing for the third time. I just can't get enough of them. They are a great plinker and it fits me like I designed it myself. It is similar to the AK in style, but is truly more efficient by design.

What really has my head spinning is the fact that there just isn't enough accessories available to feed my fix and I know yours too. There are a few fellow Canadians like DMCFaul and Suprathepeg and others who are in the process of making new and exciting parts for us to drool over, so I must thank you on behalf of everyone for giving us the opportunity to create a lasting passionate addiction to this firearm. :D :cheers:

What I would really like to see, which hasn't been initiated by anyone I know, would be a gas block front sight like the one Marstar has on the upcoming version of the CZ. Other than that, I am still waiting for a short barrel, mag release, bolt release and full length top rail.


What does the future of the VZ58 look like?
 
I'm almost done my m14... And the 858 is definatley my next buy! Never a big fan of the ak but after holding one of these I couldn't get rid of my wood! It's gonna be my tac-rifle for sure (after a game of dress up) I will absolutley buy good parts for this platform, especially if there made in Canuckistan!!!!

Not sure if you saw the hand guard we just launched - http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=383495 , but we also have the lower coming out soon as well as three other projects that you will be seeing later in the fall.

Someone posted a picture not too long ago from Marstar showing a short barreled CZ with a gas block front sight.

I know there are people here who know what I am talking about. If someone is willing to elaborate it would be greatly appreciated.
 
yes, its a FSN-01 series from marstar but as #1bc said its class as prohib .

Go onto tapco's website and write them using the online form to see if they can do for the VZ58 what they did for the sks, 10/22, and the AK...If there is enough demand, they will make it.
 
To be honest I don't think it matters all that much, after shooting I only swab the bore clean and the odd time clean out the chamber. The same things you would have to do with a chrome lined barrel. I have yet to hear about a 858 with a worn out barrel and there are some guys here who have pounded out thousands of rounds.
 
The barrels will likely be a low volume thing, so I will likely find a source of .311 barrels and go from there. That is to say I don't know exactly what specs I'll use.
