XPS2-0

Shortest model sight yet! This sight is smaller than the former N-cell battery sight (511/551) and runs on a single 123 battery. It also has a longer battery life than the N-cell style sights. Smaller, lighter and always fast with three reticle options. With the new single battery configuration, the XPS allows more rail space than ever, leaving more room for rear iron sights or NV mount.

  • Single transverse 123 battery to reduce sight length
  • Shortened base only requires at most 2 3/4 inch of rail space compared to the 4 inch N battery sights
  • Battery cap and latch are eliminated and replaced with a simple O-ring, tethered cap; better sealing is achieved
  • Battery compartment is now separated from the base to allow it to hover over the delta ring of the rifle
  • Average battery life at brightness level 12 is roughly 500-600 hours, 3X battery life of N cell sights
  • Three reticle options: 0- 65MOA circle with 1 MOA aiming dot, 1-single 1MOA aiming dot, 2-65MOA circle with two 1MOA aiming dots
  • Available in Night Vision (XPS3) and non- Night Vision (XPS2) versions. The numbers reflect the number of the buttons on the back of the sight.
Suggested Retail: $509.00

thats a US MSRP. By the time it gets imported, with taxes and profits, it will be pretty expensive. I wouldnt say acog territory though.

Hmmm. Might be exactly what I have been looking for to go on my Beretta Storm carbine. The 553 works perfectly on my Ar but it's too high and too big to look good on the Storm. I've been looking at the Zeiss Z-Point and the Aimpoint micro, but both have a 4 moa dot. I love the 1 moa dot of the Eotech, especially if I get a non restricted bull barrel on the carbine.

This new Eotech might just be the ticket. Thanks for posting about it.

Only needs one battiery and also comes with the BDC. Got it mounted on my CZ 858 but think I will be switching back to the bushnell holosight cuz the BDC doesn't work that well on the x39 round. Also the GG & G cover's work for it.

TSE sells them but for some reason i cant find their PDF file . If i remember well ,they were around 650$ (wish i could get an acog for that price :)

All the new Eotechs are plagued with problems. The single CR123 model is silly because while it's more compact you have less than half the battery life of 512/552 with AA lithiums.

Low, low, lowest...

I always wonder why no one has ever made a reflex sight with the battery compartment and emitting diode ON TOP of the optics, kind of an upside down Eotech.
That way, they could save precious centimeters to lower the screen. Mounting base would be the thickness of the integral shroud/mount, theycould relocate the battery compartment hatch on top and we could enjoy a real extra-low sighting plane.
What do you think?
PP.

I just got an Eotec XPS-2 and I like it. This is my fourth Eotec, and I finally got the model I really wanted. CR 123 battery, two dots, smallest, lightest etc.
In my door, total cost was $ 600 ... with enough change for a cup of CHEAP coffee.

The top red dot cowitnesses with my BUIS.

I will probably get a quick release mount [ Larue? ] for the EO, even though the new improved thumb screw is quite a bit more usable without a TOONIE than the old screw.

I had the EO model with the built in double ARMS QR levers and sold it for two reasons:
1.] The through bolt spacing on the EO ARMS levers did NOT match up to the groove spacing on an ARMS M14 scope mount. If the ARMS EO mount doesn't fit an ARMS M14 rail ... then what were they thinking??

2.] The ARMS QR lever system works well ONLY with true Picatinny spec rails, and I sometimes swap scopes over to other rifles, with Weaver rails. For this reason, I prefer the LEUPOLD QRW rings, which adjust in and out to fit either model of rail.

Right now my EO XPS is mounted in front of the receiver, on an M14 UTG rail. Once I finish my UTG rail rear extension add on, I plan on mounting it further back, over the receiver.

Actually PP bushnell sort of made somthing smillar to this idea. I was out for 2 year's then they recalled all of them due to the batteries came flying out under high recoil. I was off turkey hunting in south eastern b.c. and I took to batteries right to the forehead. All I can say is thank god for the back up beed, otherwise I wouldn't have no turkey for christmass.

Most people want thier optics higher than the current Eotech, not lower. Hence the aftermarket riser mounts.
