I didn't read all the posts, but I don't think anyone came up with the real Kings of the rifle world.
Top one is a Model 1884 Springfield, 45-70, commonly known as the Trapdoor. This was the US Military rifle in the late 1800s. This rifle has been in the family since the mid 1930s, is complete with bayonet and a mint barrel. In the past it has blown factory loaded 405 grain jacketed bullets through elk.
Bottom one is a Remington Rolling Block, in 43 Egyptian. This is a rare one, because most of the production of this model went to some South American country and was handled around like cordwood, in short, all bashed up and rusted. This one too, has a mint barrel and only minor marks. It is rare, because it apparently was never delivered to any country, since it has no markings of any country on it, other than manufacture. That accounts for its good condition.
