Ordering Sig parts in Canada?

Ok, so Sig is apparently not registered with the State Dept, and Brownell's will not ship Sig parts into Canada?

Anywhere I can source these locally? Just need some small spare parts.

So... if SIG isn't registered with State Department then how is it we've been processing export permits for SIG Sauer products for the past 4 years and continue to do so monthly? The answer is that SIG is registered with US State Department and Brownells darn well knows it. They are lying when they make that statement.

The truth is that SIG has a deal with Nicholls and so when SIG made their deal with Brownells (to be a US Parts Distributor for SIG) the deal was domestic only and excludes Brownells from exporting SIG parts. It's just disappointing that Brownells doesn't tell the truth instead of making up BS answers.

The only parts that SIG actually sells to us (as a US FFL) are their pre-packaged "Parts Kits" and they are listed on our website. They ship us warranty parts as required... but if we want to buy small parts for service work/sale then we also have to go to Brownells to buy them.

For future reference, Numrich ships Sig parts to Canada.

Bastards. Numrich is at least 50% more expensive on the spares that I need, and they want a $25 surcharge (over and above shipping charges) just to ship to Canada.

Anyone ever use the US Post Office service, where you can have your items shipped to the centre in Buffalo, and pay a $5 handling fee?

If you are a Police Deparment intreste in a lare contract they will love to talk to you, if you are a private citizen or a small company, not so much.

I've used similar services at places in Washington State and never had a problem. The one I primarily use is in Blaine, I phoned them to register the first time now I just get whatever I want sent to them and have to pay a small fee per package (based on weight $1-$5) when I pick it up.

They carry what brakes, I don't see what you would need a spare of... maybe a firing pin, a hammer, I don't know, these parts don't break with normal use.

Again you can still ask in the EE, it doesn't cost anything.
