I have a set of Type A .223 dies that I use for my .223.
I had a problem seating 75grn A-Max bullets as the ogive to tip area was longer than the opening inside the seater stem so it would rock inside the stem resulting in less than stellar bullet runout.
I contacted Redding and inquired whether or not purchasing a VLD stem would fix the problem. They replied back telling me that they unfortunatley only make a VLD stem for their Competition Seater dies but would have one of the Type A stems sent to their tooling shop to be modified and would send it out to me, no charge.

The stem arrived the other day and the stem fits the bullets PERFECTLY.....no more rocking inside the stem!!!
Kudos to Redding for keeping their customers happy.
