Metallic Link compatiblity between MGs

I know nothing about MGs, but I recently purchased some ammo and links for a C6 (want to break it apart and shoot it in my M14). I was wondering if some of the more knowledgable folks could say whether the links can be used in a 1919?

IF you mean by 1919, as compared to the old Cf c5 that was in 7.62x51, than yes. Both mgs use the same ammo and link. Will also work in a M60, MG92 etc.
 
The old CF C5 was a 1919 .30 Browning Medium MG.
"...want to break it apart..." Push 'em out from the back. No tools other than a wee screw driver.

- You can lay the belt 'black side down' and pull each tip up, or push the tip against something and push the cartridge backwards through the link. To break into large sections, just twist.

-If you tried that with a Browning M1919A4, it would be interesting to see what happened if the trigger was accidentally pulled - there being no safety on .30 cal/7.62 BMGs...

- Now on a MAG 58/M-240/C6 ... it could get loud, even without pulling the trigger. :D
