Romanian AKM Bayo's at Tradex

These are nice solid knife type bayo's, come with wrist strap, scabbard, and frog. The 2 I got were missing the rubber insulator that goes over the scabbard, but no big deal. Scabbard doubles as a wire cutter, blade takes a pretty decent edge too. Good field or truck knife, or even to throw it in the ATV. Very solid piece.

The frog wont hold the scabbard properly without it.....can easily be jimmy rigged with some foam or rubber you have laying around.

BTW do they fit on your AK? I have a Norinco AK56 that doesnt seem to have a lug
Anyway the bakelite seems to be in Great shape! will report when mine gets in.

Shazam, the AKM bayonet will not fit the Chinese Type 56 (Kalashnikov) series at all. These rifles are identical to the early machined steel receiver AK47, but with a stamped receiver.

Providing the rifle you own is the military 16" and not the commercial 19" barreled version, this bayonet will fit perfectly: http://www.tradeexcanada.com/index.php?option=com_paxgallery&task=view&gid=3&iid=1012. It's the first pattern AK47 bayonet manufactured by Poland.

Any Warsaw Pact or PLA production first pattern model will fit.

Great thanks. I noticed a bayonet lug on the AK56. Its a 16" model so Ill have to get another bayonet too

Takes the edge but won't hold it.
The rubber insulator is missing on your scabbard.
