North Eastern Arms VZ/CZ Railed Handguard and Muzzle Brake (with pics!)

Just recieved my top hand guard from gp tactical.NEA MOUNT LOOKS GOOD AND FITS WELL.MOUNTED A STRIKEFIRE ON IT .IT SITS NICE AND LOW.I LIKE IT !GP IS GREAT TO DEAL WITH.NICE PRODUCT NEA HOPE TO SEE MORE OF YOUR STUFF SOON.

What kind of ring are you using to mount it? Does it co-witness?

Leverscout the strikefire comes with either a high ar ring or the low ring .i am using the low ring and i can see my sights through the red dot at 300meters and slightly at 200 but not at 100.THE STRIKEFIRE IS A VORTEX BRAND RED DOT SIGHT WITH A 2X MULTIPLIER.YOU CAN NOT USE THE 2X ON THE CZ IT WILL NOT CLEAR THE SIGHT WITH THE NEA MOUNT.

The manual claims 2000 hours for battery life.uses the cr2 lithium.picked mine up at grouse river outfitters.no problems with it and i have had it for a year.i do not think it is as good as an aimpoint but for 180$ i figured i would give it a try.looks like the aimpoint picture posted by stevo(sits the same).no complaints so far and it looks good on the nea mount.

Ordered One from Wolverine

I just ordered the NEA toprail today. Excellent service. Now I guess that I must hurry up and Wait. ;)

Arrrgh... NEA is 1/2" to short.... No Armalite mount for me. Unless I get a saw..........

But it is kinda a 'oversized' mount to begin with. :)

Fiddled for about 5-7 minutes to get the top rail on, tight fit. It looks good. (except for the funky white stuff on it....

:)

I forgot about my Leupold QuickReleaseWeaver (low) rings:p
Luckily they 'just!' fit.

The front and back of the rail have a curve, so the last position on each end is not usable:(

This is one of the reticules. Eotech-ish. It is sitting right on top of the front sight hood. Will have to play with the 'sight' setting a bit and get it lower.

It works!!! That is the important thing.

Off to the range this weekend....after I find that screw that goes in the handgrip....

I just skimmed through both threads but couldn't find a length, how long is that rail from the beginning of the first slot to the end of the last slot? would I be able to fit an eotech 551 on it?

many thanks

The EOTECH is a bit of a high optic to mount in this application. I would suggest an Aimpoint COMP2/3 or a micro. Something that can be mounted low.

The 551 is only 4" long. I dont see why the rail wont take the 551.

What do you mean it's a bit high, that I won't have a proper cheek weld? I wouldn't mind slapping an aimpoint on but i'm not very fond of the big 4moa dot, that and because I can't bring myself to mount optics that are worth more than the firearm...l:)l

I believe it was said its a bit high if you want to see your irons through the optic.
