What exactly are these .38 S&W shells

Can anybody tell me what these are exactly? I bought a box full of misc stuff and there was a box of these.

They are marked Dominion 38 S&W

I can't speak for those shells exactly but I did have an old S&W service revolver chambered in .38 S&W... it seemed back then very hard to get ahold of that caliber.

These would be worth some money to the right guy.

Most any gunstore should be able to bring in .38 S&W. I used to sell it at CT years ago.
 
These are .38 S&W, which is not the same as .38 S&W Special (the common .38 Special). Due to the very short length of the .38 S&W (compared to the .38 Special or .357 Magnum), it is highly unlikely that these would be shotshell. Blank is most likely.
I have had no problems in buying .38 S&W in the past few years.
