Cz75 quality downgraded myth?

I have no idea if it's true or not but i have a hard time believing that a company like CZ would let thier quality go down. BUT you never know.
 
I, personally, think the PreB 75 was better built. I've owned one in the past and currently own a 75B. Functionally there is no difference but I remember my pre B as feeling more 'solid'. Anyone know if the Pre B's were MIM? Maybe that the difference I'm feeling or I could be out to lunch.....
 
I have a early (short rail) pre-B CZ75 and a CZ85. My brother has a "newer" pre-B, painted frame.

The quality of my early CZ75 is higher. My brother's pre-B is close but it is painted (cheaper) rather than blued. My CZ85 has a more matt like surface where my blued CZ75 is nicely polished.

Yes over the years they have been trying to cut costs so the finnish was downgraded. Functionally I have not notice a significant difference.

just brought mine to the range for the first time a week ago and I was very impressed with the great functioning of it as well as very decent accuracy at about 25ft. so far so good I guess
 
It was being massed produced when it first came to Canada in the early 80's. Each pistol came with a factory shot target. Don't recall any of 'em having less than 2" groups. No mention of the distance or the ammo, as I recall.

What's so hard to believe? Every company with a once untouchable reputation starts to compromise at one point or another. Even Sig Sauer's started to cut corners and to loosen their quality control. Smith & Wesson fell from grace some time ago. I don't see why CZ would be immune.
