I am 64 , recently retired from a welding job. I used to hunt with my
dad when I was young and got a beautiful whitetail in 67, then I just did fishing only for many years, but now my dad who is 96 years old got me interested in hunting again, and I drive him all over the hills, and he still hunts with his savage model99 . I got interested in this site mostly for wanting to sell guns starting with a model 1895 savage 303 , and a mauser argentine 1891 both in really good condition. Im having lots of trouble learning to navigate this site but I keep trying. len

thanks for the note guys I guess there is life here in these threads. I recently sold two guns, a rossi 22 in nice shape and a 7.62x39 vz52/57 in mint condition. then I bought a browning 22 t bolt with a nice vortex 2x7 scope. Now back to my Dads place to go target shooting and maybe get a nice grouse for supper.

Welcome. What I wouldn't do for some grouse to eat. I used to shoot them on the way to school as a kid in the 70's. Keep the .22 cooey in my locker at grade school.

How times have changed.

Welcome Len.

I am semi retired and have been shooting since I was 14 when I joined my high school rifle team. We used to shoot at the local police range. Times have changed since then.

I love BC. My Cousin lives in Vancouver & a close friend lives just outside of Victoria.
But I am here just north of Toronto. At least we are getting rid of Mayor Miller.

Again: Welcome.

And another old fart, also who knows Kamloops

Welcome Keirl45, from one old fart to another.

X4 on the Kids welcome.

I know Kamloops very well, at least as it was in the '60 and early '70. Hunted and fished all over that country.

Was in town the day that 3 RCMP men were gunned down by a back woodsman with a SMLE, about '67 or so.

Was given a tip on the Afton copper properly when it was .15, buy it, put it away, don't touch it until it can't be ignored. I could not afford to lose $100 and did not buy. I watched that stock climb, until it was the morning headline in the Province, close to $100:eek::(

I was given historic four six guns from a man whose parents were the 1st and 2nd school teachers in Kamloops. I offered them free to the Kamloops Museum and they had no interest. They now reside in the Kelowna Museum.

If I were younger, and could return to the west, Kamloops has always been my choice, you lucky man!:welcome:

just got back from 3 days of mostly road hunting with my 96 year old dad , didnt see to many deer but the scenery was terrific and have been cooking grouse so many different ways I'm running out of ideas. I was over 40 k back on one bad road and didnt see one car and yesterday my fuel pump quit so Im glad it didnt quit back there in the tooleys.
