Wasn't a big deal... Was just out grouse hunting, and moving my trail camera.
Found it wierd though, that they asked to see my guns. I don't know if they're authorized to do this, or not. The lady officer didn't care about seeing my PAL, just wanted to see my hunting license, and guns.( I went to hand her my PAL card, and she just said "I don't need to see that." ???)
I had 2 20 gauge's in the back seat of my truck. I got out, opened the actions, and showed them to her. I'm guessing they wanted to see them to make sure they wern't loaded in my truck? She asked if I had any birds, I said no. Was just out for a drive more then anything. Anyways, that was all... Took about 10 minutes. They were nice enough.
Nice to see them out. This is the only time I've ever seen them out where I hunt, and I don't think it's a bad idea to have them out and about.
Also found it funny that they found it necessary to put their flashing lights and whatnot on... We met head on, on a trail that is barly wider then my truck.... I had all intentions of stopping, even if just to say "hi".
I think the lady officer was in training or something. She did all the talking, and the guy in the background was just sort of overseeing everything.
No grouse today either... Shot one, but I don't think I hit it, seeing as it buggered off right quick at the high port and I never found it...
