who makes a good air gun scope for a reasonable price? i have a Gamo 640 Carbine. the scope that came with it is super ####ty. my buddy who is going to borrow it said he wants to put a decent scope on it.

The Bushnell Legend 5-15x40mmAO is a great candidate to fill the bill, it offers nice optics, is air gun rated and reasonably priced....
Added bonus for air guns is that it can focus down to 10yards....

Leaper's mil-dot Illuminated recticle $50-$150 depending on fixed or variable. Then there's airgun mts with scope stop pin preferably..................Harold

Leapers are really nice scopes for the money and can withstand any spring airgun with their TS true strength platform.
A one piece mount is usually best on the springers.

Big game scopes are parallex free at 100 yards on models that do not have the additional parallex adjustment. I'd make sure the scope has a close up parallex adjustment (usually found on the front lenses) since most shooting with air rifles is around 25 yards.

Leaper's at D+L airguns in BC ....................Harold,,,, I have the 3x9X40 mil-dot IR Turn the dots red for bright sunlite shooting and green for low light 5 intensities each color .Grouse hiding under a shaded spruce can't hide.............
