Do whatever you feel is best for you
This smilie is about as ghey as this one
I looked back to see where I discussed DQ'ing someone. Couldn't find it. What was discussed was that they will use the disconnect without a loaded magazine while I am SO'ing.
This to me shouldn't even be discussed in this thread as it is not an IDPA issue but more of a general safe unloading procedure issue.
I googled quickly how to unload a mag disconnect pistol and I never found one that explained to put in a loaded magazine to use the mag disconnect.
To sum it up, I firmly don't believe in putting ammunition back in your firearm to show it unloaded and safe. If you feel that you should then go ahead and roll with it.

I agree with all of your comments Steve except for the one I've highlighted.
The SO is in charge of the range/bay period. full stop.
Greg:
If you have issues with how people do hammer down with a firearm with a mag safety, that's obviously your perogative as an SO.
However, you may want to keep this discussion in mind if you ever decide to DQ someone because they didn't do it the way you like it done.
It's 6 and a half dozen.![]()
