M&p15-22

So. now we now they're coming, but "unexpectedly" restricted. :kickInTheNuts: is anyone appealling this, and what's the process. Really wish the manufacturers would send pink furniture on the ones used to classify, as obviously they are not looking at function, but rather "style".. and that leads to how does a ar-15 looking paintball gun get approved as non-restricted..

I have to agree that if it was non-restricted i would buy one in a heartbeat. but seeing that it is restricted i will probably just buy a conversion kit for my AR...

no need for FA for a civilian...i agree.....but since when can you lawfully use firearm in canada for self defence? and why are you talking about a guy walking into a school? legal gun owners are NOT criminals! please dont make this type of comparisons...makes us look bad. good comments otherwise.

It makes Automatic weapons readily available to people that will misuse them. Giving someone a 3 shot shotgun and giving them a 200 round box of belt fed ammo in a GPMG are 2 very different things.

1 has practical uses, ie hunting. 1 does not.

Machine guns are prohib fora reason, there are however lots of rifles that should be non restricted that are either restricted or prohib. I have no desire to see FA rifles and machinguns become legal. They only give people more firepower than is neccissary for a civi to have. If someone breaks into your house a shotgun or rifle is fine for self defence, there's lots of semi auto's out there. Full auto only gives you cover fire from combat situations for killing other humans in time of war.

I would LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE to own a FA assault rifle, but that means that store need to sell them which creates a much bigger pool of incredibly devastating weapons for criminals to choose from. When crims have easy access to the same weapons that the military and police use, you're only asking for trouble. It only makes me feel less safe.

Most people Im sure would be responsible, jsut like most gun owners are. But instead of a guy walking into a school and shooting shotguns at ppl, now you start to get into people bringing machine guns to shcools and killing dozens and dozens if not hundreds of people.

Since when was self-defence illegal? There are cases all the time of folks in Canada LEGALLY defending themselves with firearms. The B.C. jeweller and the montreal cop killer are a few recent examples.

As of right now there is no FRT number for the M&P 15-22 or any M&P Model in .22 LR. No FRT# = no classification. I didn't bother reading the preceeding 18 pages of this thread because all it amounts to is idle speculation, babble and paranoid drivel. When there is an FRT number and classification on the system, then we'll know for sure.

burns 306 you are full of ####. A-They are restricted, and B-they haven't even cleared the border yet. I bug my dealer once a week and he calls the distributor everytime just to humour me, and to break his balls. Unless this happened in the last 2 days.
