i would like to clarify that my post was in fun and for entertainment purposes to go along with all the threads along the line of:
will the new 10/22 be restricted...
where can i find cheap suplus 303 british...
why are prices on the EE more than retail...
landowners won't let me hunt on land they own...
 
I don't need a bayonet.. Just the lug is fine.. the switch on the side would nice.. You know the one that says neutral, drive, overdrive...

So I guess you get what you pay for...but seeing as we already have a written guarantee of a sub-$200 price point maybe it's worthwhile. They are supposed to be tack drivers for the first 4 shots, after which they automatically turn 12.6 for reasons no one can explain. They do come with a free Zeiss scope though.

Unless somebody comes up with an idea for cheaper 7.62 ammo, these rifles might not be shot very much.
 
Yeah, reloading is a good idea, but not everyone reloads or has the time to. There is a big shortage of ammunition right now that is driving the price up. Even the CBS evening news had a story on it. I feel sorry for younger people getting into the sport who may find the cost of ammo or components prohibitive. Higher ammo costs aren't good for getting people interested in the shooting sports.
 
I am interested in any differences between the 2009 Polytechs and the 2009/2010 European models as it relates to machining details, fit, finish, etc.. Johnone, have you had a chance to evaluate said product? :)
 
So are the vestal virgins in cleaning crew the ones wearing thongs and Marstar t-shirts, or does that describe the newby EURO14 buyers?
