Sunday October 11

It's that time of year again - we're hosting an ODPL / IDPA handgun match at the HAHA ( http://www.hahaclub.ca/ ).

In the spirit of keeping the ‘D’ in defensive pistol, you'll see some short, sharp shooting and some challenging circumstances to separate the merely quick from the practised. No "gotcha" stages, just straightforward gun, gear handling and target ID tests. Concealment rules apply with handgun. Full rule set here: http://www.odplonline.org/rules.shtml

Due to popular demand, you may use a pistol-calibre carbine (PCC), with the same COF as everyone else. Enter twice, shoot handgun and then do PCC, or just enter once and do PCC only. Scores will be separated. Concealment will not apply, but this is not a tac match, so go for the civvy-with-PCC look. Mags on your hip or pockets, no vests.

You may end up shooting at or around some cardboard turkeys - after all, it's Thanksgiving weekend.

As always, the range has a great kitchen and you're welcome to try it out. We shoot rain or shine, with a covered setup area.

First-come, first-serve, registration open at 8:30, first shooting starting at 9:00. Final registration at 13:00. $20 at the door.

Approximate round count: bring 100 and you’ll have enough.
