Thoughts? Comments? Has anybody had a go with this thing?

Saw a TV show on Discovery and it piqued my interest. Don't know if it is legal or not but it sounds like the AK-47 vs AR-15 battle is being answered with this guy...

:sniper:

Maybe if the US swaps calibers we can argue that the 5.56/.223 is no longer a military caliber and she be viewed as a varmint round?

Well, technically only the 5.56 is a military round... the .223 just happens to work in the same guns... :p

I know, you know...but you know where I'm going with this. If Major global forces change their calibers, it sure would make it easier to argue that ar's could become non-restricted.

The Rifles Classification as a Restricted Firearm has Nothing to do with the fact it shoots the Standard NATO Round.

Just the fact it is used by millions of Soldiers all over the world to Kill people will prevent it from ever seeing non-restricted status.

....and don't forget it is black.

For the gun club duffers, this thing offers little. Oddball ammo, scarce reloading data and components, more recoil. If you are punching paper the .223 is probably the better way to go right now. I love cheap brass, massive choices for components and the cheap prices that allow me to load up hundreds of rounds at a crack.

If you are a green bean fuggin marine in the sandbox and depending on your gun for your life - the 6.8 may be worth looking at. For my two cents - for hard targets and suicide opponents where the only way to stop them is to kill them? I would prefer the .308 or .30-06.
