Another Noob on the site, looking to get into F-class,
Learned a fair amount already by surfing the threads...
but, what is (is there) a good gun club in the Saskatoon area for one to shoot over 300 yards(working my way out) (not in back powder), and not at a bench?
I can do it at home, but am looking for an environment conducive to learning from other shooters.

Most clubs I am aware of are either hand gun, black powder, or more accustom to bench shooting (Wild Life Fed.)

Pointers appreciated

Hello and welcome. Can't help much with Sask facilities (I'm in Nova Scotia). For more attention to the question, you might try it in the "general discussion" section. Enjoy the site, and best of luck with your search.

I can show you a good place just outside of saskatoon, but you have to promise not to trash the joint like most of the people who use it:). usually means hauling out a bunch of someone else's junk every time you go.

Welcome!

I'm kind of in the same boat for looking for some different places to shoot. I'm currently a member at the wildlife federation, but that only goes to 200 yards. Looking for a place to stretch my .308 out a little farther. Sending you a PM deadman.

sorry to all who were hoping to use this informal range, it has been shut down since i posted about it. a big thank you to those who abused it by leaving broken beer bottles and garbage everywhere

That sucks!!!!! We have an off road area where we wheel our trucks and I have found a couple of stolen burnt vehicles out there and the last time we were there all 5 trucks left with a full load of garbage to drop at the dump. I wish the RCMP would pop in there more often to catch the guys doing all this.
