The last speedsteel match for the Mission Rod & Gun Club will be held this October 10th. Unfortunately it is in conflict with IPSC. Those of you who won't be at IPSC, should come out to speedsteel. Prizes will be drawn for.... Last chance to ring the plates prior to old man winter arriving. Questions or to register just send an e-mail to speedsteel@shaw.ca. Look forward to seeing you there.

What time, and how long do the matches take?

By there by 8:30 to sign up for the first match. First shots typically occur at around 9'ish. Or if you can make it out by quarter to 8 or so the guys would appreciate the help with setting up the stages. There's two matches per day split up by lunch. Cost is $15 each. A perfect run will consumn 150 rounds per match so factor in your expected miss ratio and bring more accordingly. The afternoon typically folds up and following cleanup of the targets we're typically done by 4 to 4:30.

Lots of us shoot different guns for the morning and afternoon matches just for variety or to cut costs by shooting .22 for one match and center fire for the other. Or semi and revolver. Or handgun and carbine. There's lots of options and yes there's a handgun caliber carbine event as well. Although most of the entries for that one shoot Ruger 10-22 rifles for that event.

Lots of folks come out and just shoot morning or afternoon only if they are stuck for time.
