On the second day of archery season we connected.

Not a trophy by some peoples standards but it was my first archery deer and the first deer I have taken off my recently acquired hunting property, so I'm happy.
 
Congrats. Wish my archery season was going that well. Haven't seen any deer. My partner single lung hit a doe and we spent 5 hours tracking it to no avail. Dissapointing
 
Great job.

I usually don't break out the bow until December. Less people in the woods and I find the big ones are easier to find than in the early season.

Got out today for the first time, due to work.... Just did some scouting... 0 sign... No tracks, no poop, no nothing.... Gotta try and find a new area I guess...

Very nice! You take him in the sudbury area? Too bad the rifle season is so short up here, I might have to get a bow and start practicing for next year :D
