HK USC/UMP prohibited?

If I was a Yank, I would be interested, suppressed, large mags, but being Canadian, large price, 5 shots oh boy:rolleyes:, meh I'll pass.

Some people are happy with their all matching SKS. Others like to have something a little different.
Jealous people are so petty.

Lighten up bud. Don't be hating, BTW matching SKS's can be taken to the range, and even in the woods, try that with your wall hangers:p As for HK rifles, I am only jealous of our American counterparts who can truly appreciate them by actually being able to use them.

As for the "hating", you may recognize these quotes.

meh, 4 g's for a 5 shot semi, I'll pass
Expensive wall hangers, nothing more.
Expensive wall hangers you got there Klunk:p

You seem to hate expensive stuff you can't own, and then try to belittle it. A distinct sign of jealousy and I find that so very juvenile. This is a gun board and I appreciate the differences. Otherwise this place would be awful boring with chopped up Lee Enfields filling every page only because you can take them in the woods. A lot of gun owners don't go to "the woods".
Some fellas post pictures here, because they are trying to contribute to discussions, and educate what we are still allowed to own. And some do, simply to have some fun.
Why come here and be condescending simply to make up for one's own shortfalls? Again, that's pettiness.

Let's see what you have to contribute??? You can start first by growing up.

well, i shoot two of my HK's now. and yes some do stay in the safe, that's a sad fact about our country i'm afraid.

The best thing about Sprint's pics is that this particular gun should be showing up at my place today. I picked it up off of Gary last week. For some reason, I have recently developed an excessive saliva problem...should clear up after I get back from the post office.

Gratz man. You'll enjoy it.

We fired his at the GP indoor range just shortly after some range work replacing the rubber baffles.

This was shortly after I sold mine. Almost bought a tear to my eye.

Shoot that #### like ammunition was free and going bad.

Actually, the UMP can be used every single day, rain or shine, indoors or out, at any certified range in Canada.

Even better, it can be readily fired on Pistol ranges or rifle ranges due to its .45 cal pistol cartridge chambering. You won't be able to do that that with your non-restricted SKS rifle, so its accurate to clarify that you cannot shoot yours everywhere either.

You like to shoot yours outdoors on crown land.

Good for you.

I like to shoot mine indoors when the temperature in Grande Prairie predictably drops to 47 degrees below stupid and the sun is only out for about 5 useful hours of daylight. This gun lets you do precisely that year round in inclement weather, thanks.

Maybe you just don't shoot that much?

meh I'll pass.

At $7000 for the genuine article and $3500 for a decent clone, I have little doubt that you will pass.

That's how it works. Not everyone can afford the same number or quality of toys. Like Clint Eastwood says in Gran Torino, these tools are part of the wealth that a man acquires over his lifetime. Hell, there are many collectors here that even even someone of my means must defer to.

People like, say, Koldt. ;)

We are very fortunate as a community that so many people have mustered their finances to provide us with the ongoing ability to view and enjoy these guns in Canada.

5 shots oh boy:rolleyes:

As for the 5 round element, would you care to clarify why your particular SKS is capable of more than 5 rounds?

Or is it possible that your trolling posts are simply bulls**t as Koldt suggests :jerkit:

Finally, SigNC is American.

Maybe you weren't paying attention to what he was telling you, but these quality firearms are not readily available anywhere. They are a great find. A fantastic addition to a personal collection, and a ton of fun to shoot for owners whose primary concerns are NOT grounded in having to shelf their rifles if $170 /1120 surplus Czech ammunition is not available this year.

Questions? I'm here all week.

What he said^

Some people drive a Skyline, yet they do not go drifting and racing. And some drive a G class, yet they do not belong to a Mafia.

Some of us just have much finer tastes and manage to afford it to enjoy it.

Yes some of us have fine tastes:p Big deal. Wow you HK owners are really snobs:rolleyes: What a minute I own two, gee I must be a snob too:( Not. I said that I won't spend the money on a 5 shot, didn't say I didn't have the money nor should anyone else. go for it. As for the USC, I played with one, not for me, now if you can use a MK 23 mag, maybe I'd go for it. As for being jealous, naw, I shoot the MP5 at work, when they let me, when they can spare the ammo:( Anyway Koldt, you have a nice collection of real HKs. A buddy and I bought an AUG and Galil back in the 80's before Kim Campbell days. I sold mine after two months of ownership, Got my 2 grand back. Buddy still has his Galil, and its a nice wallhanger too:p Here is a small sample of my cheap s**t SKS that you say I have.

I always wanted one until I fired a UMP a few years ago, walked away sort of underwhelmed. It was nice and all- but it didnt seem to have the wow factor I thought it might. Would rather go with a TP9 or something.

Its nice, but for a gun with a department price of like.... 900 or 1000 bucks, its not worth it to pay 7000.

For 2000 for a complete gun, the UMP would be cool.

I think my USC conversion is cool, but the restricted class for a sporterized rifle isn't all that great. If it came factory with pistol grip and folding stock (for the same price) it may be different. Hence, why I may be selling mine fairly soon...
