My wife has a Bull tag for zone 46 this year. We were out the last 2 days. Seen a 3 foot Bull Monday, but that is it. A few very nice ones have been taken already in this zone. We will try again on the weekend. I hope to find a nice one for her shoot at. She was cranky at me that I didn't let her shoot that 3 footer, but I told her it's the first day & you have a very good chance to get something 50" +. I said we'll take what we see later in the season, but for now lets give it our best shot to find a good one like this:

I would love to find this guy again this year for her. :)

Many huge bulls taken in the farmland zones> i know of ten the smallest being 45 inch and the biggest 60. Rumor has it five bulls have been killed over 70 inches. They will rewrite the record books.

I see more monster moose bulls then any big whiteails or muledeer this season in and around the Moose Jaw area. Lucky are the ones who hold a tag in southern sask this year.

Cheers!!

We seen a huge bulwinkle the other day. I bet he was like the first bull in the picture. He was huge. Could have had some nice steaks from him.mmmmmm

Can huge bull and GOOD steaks go in the same sentence?

Our 38" bull wasn't bad, the 59" one was anything but good!
Having said that, I'd shoot the big one every time, bad steak eventually goes away, big racks last forever.:)

Best of luck to your wife!

They may do that. No threat from predators and lots to eat.It is strange though, seeing a moose here used to be unheard of.

I live in south central sask, have moose sleeping in my yard where I can see for a mile in any direction yet I plan on going 4.5hrs north to hunt them in bush where I can't see 4 feet. Sure seems smart to me

Cousin was driving up to Tisdale three years ago if memory serves and took a few pics of big bulls standing out in the crops. Seems all wrong for them to be there but as mentioned, less pressure on them, it only makes sense.
