The National Capital Region Rifle Association (NCRRA) will hold an IDPA match at the Connaught Range and Primary Training Centre (CRPTC) on Saturday, October 17, 2009. The match will consist of six stages over three ranges with a minimum round count of 96. There will be two flights, one starting at 09:00 and the other at 14:00. The cost of the match is $25.00 and includes lunch at the CRPTC dining facility.
The match will be run under IDPA rules and by IDPA-certified Safety Officers. As this is the first IDPA match at CRPTC, participants do not have to be IDPA members to take part.
As this match will take place on ranges not subject to CFO Ontario inspection, participants, other than members of the NCRRA, will require a short-term ATT available from the CFO. Out of province participants may receive an invitation to the match from Don Moore at donrae@ncf.ca .
In order to meet the safety standards required by the CRPTC Range Control Officer, non-NCRRA participants will be required to show proof of liabity insurance coverage through individual or club membership in a recognized Canadian shooting sports association (e.g. OFAH, CSSA, NFA). Non-NCRRA participants will also be required to show proof that they have qualified for:
a) One or more of IDPA NSO certificate, IPSC Black Badge, CSSA CDP Shield, CSSA PPC; or
b) Be a serving Law Enforcement Officer; or
c) Be a serving Canadian Forces member with a Level III holster qualification.
Participation in the match will be limited to twenty-one (21) in each of the morning and afternoon flights for a maximum of forty-two participants.
