Ok, as soon as my Polytech NM buildup is finished i will have no more need for my M1A Springfield. Problem: No canadian is going to buy it (guy would have to be crazy with all the chicoms around).
How difficult is it to sell this rifle back to the states? How much legal crap is involved? :bangHead: Anyone with any experience exporting a firearm stateside please help me out here.

Kinggeorge 168,
Im keeping my old NM springy.
The one i want to unload is a Standard from 00.
-forged bolt (F code SAI)
-usgi trigger housing and rest of group is real SA, hammer is HR.
-usgi glass stock and handguard.
-gas cyl may be usgi (cant identify it)
-Geneseo barrel.
-standard rear sight, NM front sight.
-chamber is 1.631" same as my NM
-Gas system shimmed.
Exc cond, works and shoots great.

Let me know if there's any interest.

Canadians who want to shoot in the US can't take their Chinese junk down Soputh, so these types would buy a Springfield.

How do you dump an M1A? here is a good way:

1. I send you a PM wth all my info.
2. Using that info you transfer the firearms to my name.
3. I then verify the transfer of the firearm to my name with the number you would have given me.
4. You then ship the firearm to my adress, which would be included in the first PM.
5. I thank you graciously for the free rifle, but more importantly, you thank me for helping you dump said rifle.

There, its not hard, just give it a try.

Lots of comedians out of work, i see.

Doesn't cost anything to put the rifle on the EE for a week or 2. You have nothing to lose, and maybe someone will want it. There are people who are willing to pay a premium for better quality.

Don't expect too many intelligent responses in this thread - you're waving bananas in front of the monkey cage!

I own both a Springfield M1A Standard and a Norinco M305 ... am I a snob? I'd purchase another Springfield if the price was right ... :D
