Hera Arms Colt Pistol Extension (CPE)

Everytime I see these I remember that youtube video of the glock-automatic where the front handgrip busted off and buddy put 2 through his forward hand before he could get his finger off the trigger. That alone terrifies me of modding pistols like this =)

The problem with that is:

A: the front grip was NOT meant to handle the stress of a foregrip (Hence why the HERA conversion has the pin through the body of the entire gun as well)

B: It was full auto so the constant vibrations shook any little weakness to the breaking point.

With the front clamp, and the pin through the body, im sure this thing is more than strong enough to deal with a semi pistol :)

I was just expressing concern about having something come apart in your hands while you are holding a loaded firearm, but F22Raptor's reasoning on the clamp and pin dispels my irrational fear =)

If anyone cares:

"Thanks for your interest in our products. Right now we dont have a distributor in canada but, as i know, there are a few dealers in germany wich are exporting if necessary. One of them is Horner-Arms. His internet-adress is: w w w .hornerarms.de

For canada you can also try it at wolverine supplys, theyr adress is: http://www.wolverinesupplies.com/

Product is already ordered from our wholesalers but we are producing the first series right now. First delivery to wholesalers and dealers will be expected in 4-5 weeks from now.

I hope i could help you with your questions. If there is anything else feel free to contact me again."

Dont worry, apparently a joke is too much for some people to handle these days :D

No big deal.

Want to give me your phone number Mr. Funny Pants? I'll give you a ring and let you listen to my daughter cry when some entitled ####### figures it's perfectly acceptable to mock and ridicule her because Ben Stiller can't find anything better to write.

No I don't involve the internet in my personal life. I have had more than my fair share of insults flung my way, and people I know, including people call my good friends in the Canadian Armed Forces "pussies" or "wusses". These people risk their lives, and get ridiculed. I have been called things like "nazi" or "skinhead" because I have short hair.

You need to learn to take the internet with a grain of salt, if you are going around expecting to be offended, then you will be :)

Its not personal ;)

this thread is so off topic

Soooo... how about those 1911's....

Sorry for filling your thread up with junk....

FWIW, I've added the 1911 kit to the HERA group buy, im going to be trying to get ahold of Wolverine and asking them about this too.

From the other guy that talked to the German company, it looks like 4-5 weeks before the first run are shipped out, so hopefully that will be feasible for us to get them into the group buy, since it looks like we'll have sufficient interest.

Sounds good. I dont have a 1911 yet, but if the price is right, i might grab both kits. Who knows when these kits will come to canada again

Yep that's exactly it... I may end up getting a 1911 kit despite not having a 1911. 1911's are fairly easy to get, but the kit, not so much.

Worst case, I can always sell it later on if I don't want it.

Im hoping Wolverine has good news on the price though.

Much as I like the idea of a 10mm carbine, I will NOT desecrate my Delta Elite in such a manner. Besides, I'd want a carbine that I could get an 18.5" barrel and 10rd pistol mags (READ: Only useful part of a Glock to me)

FWIW, there are not any permanent mods done to the gun. Just take off the grip panels :)

Of course some 1911's really are just too beautiful to hide in a carbine like that.

I guess you could go with a beater Norc :p
