** what would you say is the ultimate hunting vehicle?

Changed my mind. this

The Mog trumps the fancy Jeep any day for hunting, as it actually has room to put an elk or moose in the back. ;)

Little Sami's are the same. Great for getting to the draw, bad for hauling much in or out.

TwoTone - Did you buy that in Caraquet? I was looking at some there about 7 years ago. At the time he was asking between $11 and $13K. I was particularly interested in the radio truck.

Nope, got it in Dartmouth.

A guy imported them from Switzerland. Mine is a 1969 and had just over nine thousand km on it when I got it. Stored indoors and maintained by the Swiss military since new. The service log that came with it goes right back to '69.

Paid $10.5 k, which is less than a decent ATV. Of course I've put about $6k more into it: 24 volt worm gear winch, Michelin Ag tires, electronic ignition conversion, etc. But it was just fine when it was stock.

Just remember....a whole new world opens up once you are no longer worried about scratching you paint job......

I just passed that stage last weekend with my DD F250...it's got some serious pinstriping now.
Next year, my partner's zuki will be done. '89 zuk, SOA, locked front and rear, Warn Tabor 9K winch, 33" TSL's, and a who cares attitude about body damage.
That is, if he doesn't break it tryin to follow me during the summer wheelin season:D
