+1... I had minor play between my Armalite's upper/lower and the accuwedge fixed it. I had to trim it alot, but now everything is rock solid.

IF you have to trim the accu wedge then you didnt need it in the first place.

The accuwedge puts pressure against the takedown pin. It is elastic so I'm surprised you had to do anytihng to it. Another thing would be to use thin washers or shim stock on the sides of the upper's lug to remove the side-to-side play.

For a cheap, temporary "fix", you can put a small o ring around the lower's front pivot post. That will crush down and take up the slack.

The Accu-wedge is nothing but a gimmick, play between the upper and lower has no effect on accuracy or function. Anything that wedges the uppers together will cause excessive wear on the receiver, as the pivot pins are forced upwards. This will cause the "holes" to oval increasing the wobble.

Everyone knows that,except you..

Before making a stupid statement like that, do some research...

You can use an accwedge, but use a knife to cut down the shelf so you don't have to use monster force to clam down on the receiver.

I have an accuwedge in one of the lowers, but I have it cut down such that it closes like normal receivers without any force application, but it doesnt move either.

The wobble doesn't affect accuracy, but it bothers me. I want everything rock solid on my ARs. Like GT wrote, you can cut down the accuwedge so it doesn't put excessive pressure and it gets everything solid. It works for me, and after 825 rounds with the Armalite, still no issues.

So you're trying to fix an imaginary problem??? To each his own...

My Sabre XR has a little play between recievers. Didn't really bother me, since most the service C7s/C8s I've used were even more loose than my subcarbine. Same with an M16 I used when training with Marines in Kentucky I remember having a little wiggle between recievers.

So really, if you're looking for an AR to be military-like, keeping the play would justify that.

Again if you need to trim the accu wedge to make it fit then you didnt need it in the first place. Get it?

It must be hard for you to accept the truth.

Want or need get over it, he is happy with his results what more do you want?

Weird....
