marstar 70,000/10,000 SKS, eta aug 20th, price $189 new military.

I think we all remember last year when it was all but impossible to find any surplus in Canada....

Nobody seems to realize just how volatile the surplus market can be....It can be feast or famine, nothing in between....

John

Words to live by. Buy it cheap and stack it deep, while you can.

John,

I haven't had the pleasure of dealing with you yet, but I'm looking on at this thread with interest. I'll be saving my beer money in hopes of possibly aquiring a crate of 10 of these rifles as well as several crates of ammo. Sounds like I will need to be getting some Czech surp right away though.

Thank you very much for the updates and the education in the arms industry on the international stage. I have a great interest in all things that go "bang" and I've gotta say that your openness with us here on CGN is much appreciated.

Again, thanks for the info, the products and the candor.

John, I wasn't implying that any of these deals are dreams, just pointing out that this one must be far more difficult than most.

Calum, that's a smart looking line up of troops.

Asian dictatorships have some pretty harsh methods for keeping troops in line, here is China...

I'd hate to see what North Korea does.

Also as for ammo...

How about some South African NGA?

And Fiochi? (this stuff was awesome in my SKS).

Methinks it will be kind of useless to have rifles without ammo.

Also funny how the USA is buying up all the CZ surplus, and yet solders on the ground are saying they are blowing up and burning all the ammo they confiscate from the Iraqis and Afghans...Seems kind of odd.

BEARHUNTER;
NO PURCHASES ARE A DREAM, this I can garanty.... We were dealing behind the "iron curtain" for example, long before it came down....

For instance, Marstar was the first western company permitted to open an office in Bulgaria, BEFORE the revolution in 1991....

I was the first westerner permitted to visit military basis in that country to inspect and purchase military goods....

Remember that we have been operating in the former Yugoslavia since 1984, before the two wars, during the wars, after the wars.... We still have facilities there....

We have operated in many "interesting corners" of the world, that said one never gets used to the many twists any deal can take on in a hurry....

John

Stop posting everything here, keep some for that book you're gonna write. :nest::D

Is it wrong when using this ammo to hold your gun sideways and shout "SOUTH AFRICA NGA WHAT!!!"

"How about some South African NGA?"
Excellent ammo, only the rulers in SA have ordered all surplus ammo recycled, no exports allowed....

Fiocchi is really good ammo, but prices are out to lunch....

The US IS buying up a lot of military surplus ammo....
First you go into a country, collect everything in sight....
Second you destroy everything collected....
Third you then award fat contracts to some party faithful to re-equip and rearm your new found allies..... Who then rush out with these Government contracts and buy, buy, buy everything in sight....
And so turns the merry go round....

It was not taken any other way than it was meant....
John

OUTOFTOWNER;
"I think we are going to be pretty safe with world supply of ammunition. "

THE WORLD SUPPLY IS NOT THE QUESTION, finding ammo that Ottawa will allow us peasants to have in Canada IS the major issue....
John

Ya, that is the big problem for us. I was just trying to set the people right that were questioning weather you were saying the world supply is low or the canada supply will be low.

Now people, john has stated that he can't pinpoint any if's and's who's where's or buts, just leave him be, that way it will be more of a surprise to us :)

Hehehe, makes perfect sense now. :D

How about modern Seller Bellot?

I know not as cheap as their cold war old milsurp, but with your standing with them and knowledge of the shopping regs for that country it might work.

:)
