That's insane - hitting a 5cm X-ring from 300m with some consistency, off-hand... I'm not gonna make a lot of friends around here by saying this (I ain't trollin) but, to me, that just about blows any other test of marksmanship out of the water (BR, F-Class, etc. - you name it).

Try 50M ISSF smallbore 3-position. I think that the mag fed rifle is used for CISM.

ISSF 300M easier than 50M

I agree with Mike.

Consider a fullbore rifle/reload combo that can be tweaked to group 0.5 MOA shooting at a 1.3 MOA ten ring versus a smallbore rifle/batched ammo combo grouping 1 MOA at best shooting at a 1.25 MOA ten ring.

The greater number of prone perfect scores (600/600) in 50M compared to 300M is simply due to the overwhelming number of 50M shooters (driven by the fact that 50M is an olympic event).

At 1:22, He has scored:
3 Xs
4 10s
2 9s
3 8s

That's not too far fetched.
That's only 112/120 possible pts.

People are as good as they train for.
People who only shoot bench/scope have a hard enough time with irons/prone/sling, never mind standing/irons.

I guess we're just lazy here in North America, and like our rifle's big, heavy and scoped :D. I remember trying to shoot off my elbows with a sling on a bench at 100m a few weeks back... Maybe my rifle was too front heavy, but damn was it tough to get comfortable enough to take a confident shot... These guys & girls have my utmost respect and leave me humbled. People should probably first learn the basics of marksmanship by shooting like this before spending thousands on a scoped, bipoded über-rig, myself included

For the people mentioning 50m smallbore, is that generally done indoors? When I see the pics/vids from the Olympics, it looks that way...
