Hey guys,

I've been looking around for a nice red dot for my M305. I came across a pretty good looking one from NcStar, only costs $70, too. However, after some research, I've figured out the semi-obvious: It's pretty much made for .22/airsoft/paintball, not full powered .308 rifles.

Does anybody know where I can get a red dot that looks like this, but built for full powered rifles?

Burris. Not $70 though.

Thanks for the suggestion. You don't happen to have a link to a retailer or something, though, do you?

EDIT: Looked up their site. They have similar things, but not quite what I was looking for. The most similar one, FastFire II, is still a lot smaller than the one I was looking for...

You're a little limited on single plane reflex sights that are tough enough to withstand recoil.

My friend had one of those NCstar optics on his BRS99 (9mm sub gun type carbine) and it stopped working within like 50 rounds... the mighty recoil of 9mm shook it apart :p

Docter Optics, Burris, JPoint are all pretty good brands for the MRD's, but they are also pretty pricey especially when you're spending 50%-75% of the cost of the rifle on a red-dot. You could go high end and get an Aimpoint Micro H1 or something, but you're looking at spending as much or more then the rifle...

Your best bet is to go with a tube red-dot sight, they are stronger and more recoil resistant. The ones in the 100-ish dollar range that use 1 inch or 30mm scope rings (NOT the integral mount) are going to be the best bet.

I belive that you are looking for a C-More sight;

Dont froget to put in the (http://www.) before!

I'd just get the real McCoy - get a Eotech or Aimpoint - they won't let you down. Or the Bushnell Holosight (civilian version of Eotech).

I picked up a Bushnell Holosight from Lebarons a few months back.
Ran me 200$ for a brand new one. (Should have bought the club membership:mad:).
Pretty much an Eotech without the metal condom.
I don't think they make them anymore.

Aimpoint M3 or ML3 all the way...in the factory aimpoint ring on an ultimak rail it will cowitness with the iron sights.

Brobee

If you dont mind the cost the eotech's are great.

x2. especially if you set up more than one rifle for the picatinny scope mount, just move from one gun to another, slight "adjustment" with a coin, and your good. will pay for itself. :D
