I haven't seen anyone talk or post about it yet, but according to The Firearm Blog, the GSG-5 seems to be finished. H&K was suing ATI (the manufacturer of the GSG-5) for obvious reasons - ATI was manufacturing and selling an MP5-looking .22 rifle and was advertising it as an "MP5 clone in .22." Apparently H&K and ATI have settled and GSG-5 sales will be ending shortly so if we ever do get the GSG-5 to our shores, which is unlikely at this point, they'd be massively overpriced since no new stock is ever going to be made.

#### hk for that... Taking away a really great firearm instead of coming to a conclusion which not only benifitted them but also the consumer... We are the only one who loose in this deal ( If we would have ever gotten it who knows). Can't dlask or anthor company just sit down with the boys from the CFO and come up with a semi auto only rifle that appears to look like an mp5 for the Canadian Market. I mean an mp5 look a like gun in any caliber or class will still be very disierable.

Or you could just buy the MP5-SD look alike from Specter Arms...just add a Ruger 10/22. I just bought one of these today. Certainly looks more gung-ho than than the stock Ruger stock.

I got one of these for my 10/22, its an awesome stock.

You also get the bonus of fairly common high cap mags, and tons of accessories: AKA, barrels, charging handles, and stocks as well.

As well as, the 10/22 is so common, many smiths work on them, and there's no trouble in its classification ;)

Bruce, may want to take out the hot link since its a nono to hotlink to unsponsored sites ;)

HK doesn't really have any real IP left in the MP5. There have been toys, games, guns, etc all made with the likeness of the MP5, and HK has not sought to protect itself in those cases. I assume ATI simply rolled over.
